INARTE® RTP CERTIFIED ESD COURSES FOR
ENGINEERS, TECHNICIANS & ACADEMIA
(Space & Defense, Automotive, Commercial Electronics, and Medical Device Sectors)
RMV Technology Group LLC, a NASA Alliance Partner, in partnership with Exemplar Global, 3rd party international certification body and member of the American Society of Quality (ASQ) family of companies, has developed a series of iNARTE® Certified Micro Courses for Industry, Government and Academia.
iNARTE® RTP Certified Training
VIRTUAL and On-Site
ESD Packaging Logistics Specialist Training™
2 Days
The use of NASA, Military and relevant Industry developed Standards of ultra-sensitive ESD Sensitive Devices (ESDS) by ESD protective packaging from extreme temperatures and low Relative Humidity (RH) is critical for safety and security of the Warfighter and in the Operating Room.
Due to rapid expansion of polymers over steel and wood, Military and Industry Packaging Standards do not adequately address the requirements for ESD compliance of engineered materials outside the Electrostatic Protected Area (EPA) for 1st Article testing of a protective package.
Offshore sourcing, suspect counterfeit items and substitution of the original substrate has flooded the global supply chain since COVID for ESD protective packaging. Accelerated aging (shelf life) testing of static control materials must be conducted despite most supplier claims that their product meets longevity (up to 5 years) requirements for assembly, long term storage, packaging and transport of ESDS.
This 2-Day iNARTE® Micro certified course is intended to train the individual on the proper usage of engineered material substrates and to update the current traditional methods for the reliability and integrity of EEE part protection.
For example, the use of antistats for protection of ESD sensitive components and parts is still widely used today although not recommended for storage of critical items due to limited shelf life dependent upon RH and/or temperature.
Transport by land, air, sea and Space is another challenge that requires sound Quality Engineering protocols to support Procurement cost directives. Relaxation of Qualification requirements of ESD safety properties due to a substitution or "waiver" by the Supplier is a risk to the end user. Correct protocols to increase Supplier Compliance and mitigate Corrective Actions will also be learned in this course.
Cost cutting measures may be the ideal solution for Procurement yet lack of ESD reliability may result in failure or damage in the factory or field without Quality procedures in place for packaging, handling and storage of ultra-sensitive devices..
The comprehensive 2-Day course will address these issues for the NASA, DoD or Industry Packaging Logistics Specialist whose continuing education to support Mission Critical Programs and Munition projects is necessary in a global marketplace.
Proper work practices, packaging & handling protocols combined with a clear understanding of the source and control of static charges in the EPA is presented in an interactive hands on format brought to you “Live” from the RMV Laboratory at NASA Ames Research Center with practical demonstrations and videos.
You can sign up individually or Group rates as an option. Excellent discounts are provided for Active Duty Military and Veterans.
